Microsoft Word is part of the Microsoft's Office suite of software. It is a word processor, meaning its main function is the writing and editing of text documents. Microsoft has developed Word to be the premier word processor used by PC owners, and it is often bundled with new PC purchases. This course is for individuals using Word 2016, 2013 or 2010 and is taught using Word 2016 software. However, there are very few differences between the 2016 and the 2013 and 2010 versions from an end-user's perspective. Our instructors have used all 3 versions and will be able to quickly highlight the several small changes to the user interface. Users of any of the 3 versions of Word will have no problem learning in the 2016 software environment.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is intended for students who want to learn basic Word skills, such as creating, editing, and formatting documents; inserting simple tables and creating lists; and employing a variety of techniques for improving the appearance and accuracy of document content.
Prerequisites
To ensure your success in this course, one should have end-user skills (Basic computer and keyboarding skills recommended) with any current version of Windows.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
In this course, you will learn fundamental Word skills.Upon completion of this training course, participants will be able to:
- Indicate the names and functions of the Word interface components.
- Create, edit, save, and print documents to include documents with lists and tables.
- Format text and to use styles.
- Add a header and footer to a document.
- Add a footnote to a document.
- Add a graphic to a document.
- Use the Spelling and Grammar Checker as well as Microsoft Help.
- Manipulate documents using functions such as find and replace; cut, copy, replace

REQUIREMENTS
Participants should be reasonably proficient in English. Applicants must live up to Livecode Technologies admission criteria.
METHODOLOGY
The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web based tutorials and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professional and trainers in these fields.
All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.
ACCREDITATION
Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with a Livecode Technologies certificate.
TRAINING VENUE
The training is residential and will be held at livecodeTraining Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, lunch, and study visits.
All participants will additionally cater for their, travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.

Training Fees
The course fee is KES 65,000.00 or USD 900.00 exclusive of VAT. The course fees covers the course tuition, training materials, two (2) break refreshments, lunch and study visits. Participants will cater for their travel and accommodation costs.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment for the all courses includes a registration fee, which is non-refundable, and equals 15% of the total sum of the course fee.
- Participants may cancel attendance 14 days or more prior to the training commencement date.
- No refunds will be made 14 days or less to the training commencement date. However, participants who are unable to attend may opt to attend a similar training at a later date, or send a substitute participant provided the participation criteria have been met
