Training course on Global Mapper for Professionals
INTRODUCTION
Global Mapper is a geographic information system (GIS) software package currently developed by Blue Marble Geographics that runs on Microsoft Windows. The GIS software competes with ESRI, GeoMedia, Manifold System, and MapInfo GIS products. Global Mapper handles both vector, raster, and elevation data, and provides viewing, conversion, and other general GIS features. Global Mapper is more than just a utility; it offers a surprisingly extensive collection of analysis and data processing tools in a truly affordable package. Providing support for virtually every known spatial file format as well as direct access to common spatial databases, this remarkable application can read, write, and analyze all of your current data.
Global Mapper's intuitive user interface and logical layout helps smooth the learning curve and ensures that users will be up-and-running in no time. Participants will benefit from efficient data processing, accurate map creation and optimized spatial data management.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
All interested to learn Global Mapper.
Those with prior knowledge in Global Mapper but would like to enhance their skills further.
REQUIREMENTS
No prior knowledge of GIS is required.
